Local companies have extra time to submit their applications for the Barnsley and Rotherham Business Award.
Due to the proximity of the Bank Holiday weekend South Yorkshire companies and individuals have requested for additional time to submit their entries into the 2016 awards.
In light of this request, businesses now have until Friday, 9th September to submit their applications.
The awards, in association with RNN Group, will recognise the achievements of companies and individuals, honour the region’s best in business as companies and individuals compete for 11 prestigious awards, with the much sought-after Palmer Construction Business of the Year trophy been presented to one outstanding performer of the evening.
Entries are being accepted for the following categories:
- Most Promising New Business Award
- Business Growth Award
- Business Community Impact Award
- Manufacturing Excellence Award
- Design & Innovation in Business Award
- Business Person of the Year Award
- Excellence in International Trade
- Digital & Creativity in Business Award
- Skills Development Award
- Apprentice of the Year Award
- Tourism, Leisure and Hospitality Award
Again we are inviting our member charities to enter the Charity of the Year award and to tell us about their good causes with a chance to be named the 2016 Charity of the Year, this year’s award is supported by Secure Power.
The winner of this award will receive a cash prize as a donation towards their chosen project, initiative or need and become the Chamber’s Charity of the Year.
Andrew Denniff, Chief Executive of Barnsley & Rotherham Chamber said: “We have already received some terrific entries and I would encourage any company out there to tell us why they deserve to be a winner. We have also had number of requests from businesses for added time to get their entries in, so we have allowed everyone an extra week. “Every business with a ‘S’ postcode (within South Yorkshire) is welcome to enter and there are categories that cater for businesses of all sizes and sectors and I hope that you can join us at the ceremony to celebrate our regions best and brightest”
