Fox Valley-based Enzygo, one of the UK’s fastest growing multi-disciplinary environmental consultancies, has scooped the ‘Business Growth Award’ at the 2017 Barnsely and Rotherham Business Awards.
The Awards evening, organised by the Barnsley and Rotherham Chamber of Commerce and held at Magna, Rotherham, on Friday, 13th October 2017, is one of the region’s most prestigious business events of the year and is designed to recognise and applaud achievement for Sheffield-based businesses over the last twelve months.
Enzygo’s Stocksbridge office, which houses its Hydrology, Planning, Traffic and Landscape practices, has enjoyed phenomenal growth, with turnover increasing by over 150% over the last three years, whilst staff numbers have quadrupled since 2015. There are now 34 employees located at the company’s Fox Valley offices, plus a further 22 staff housed in its Bristol and Manchester offices
Matt Travis, co-founder and director of Enzygo said:
“We’re truly flattered to have been chosen from a record number entries this year and so we’d like to thank the Chamber’s panel for recognising the phenomenal growth we’ve enjoyed since our launch in 2008.”
“As environmental legislation becomes ever more complex, agencies, such as ourselves play a vital role in ensuring that our developer clients meet these obligations in order to gain planning approval. This is something we have consistently achieved this and so this award is recognition of the quality of the work that we perform and the dedication that our team of consultants put into each and every project.”
As well as collecting the Business Growth Award, its youngest member of staff, Lucy Cowley, was ‘Highly Commended for the ‘Apprentice of the Year category. The company also sponsored the ‘Enviromental Commitment Award’, which was won by specialist secure shredding firm Russell Richardson & Sons.
